Vanilla Sky is a Tom Cruise movie in the same sense that Mission Impossible 2 and Minority Report are; lots of shots of Tom looking at the camera. As a hollywood film, though, it’s quite unusual; it has an interesting take on reality and memory that is a little similar to “Total Recall”, but rather than concentrating on violence, it asks some deep questions (but doesn’t provide any answers, or much discussion on the questions.)
