Newly announced on the Apple site: new Intel Macs are out.
- A new laptop: 15.4″ only, dual intel-chip MacBook Pro with build in iSight from $3199 (slower CPU, 512MB RAM, 80GB HDD) / $3999 (faster CPU, 1GB RAM, 100GB HDD: upgrade it to 2GB and 120GB HDD, add a 3yr warranty, and you’re just shy of $5k).
- A new iMac with a 2GHz intel chip, still with built in iSight webcam from $1999 (17 inch) or $2649 (20 inch).
- Software: iWork 06 ($119 – pages and keynote) and iLife 06 (including the new iWeb program for creating some web content.
- An FM receiver and remote for the iPod
