Our church was looking for a way to raise money for overseas mission. They decided to run an auction – people in the congregation would offer products, or services, for sale, and everyone could bid on them.
What did we have to offer? What else, but a cafe-style breakfast cooked in the home of the winning bidder. Today, we finally went through with our part of the deal, and packed the coffee machine, some ingredients, and some pre-cooked items, and went to Ben and Jackie’s house where we prepared breakfast for them (and us), and served it in their backyard.
Highly recommended as a fund-raising idea, and also as a way to mix up the usual breakfast routine.
