Book: The Little Red Writing Book
Bec had a copy of this at a recent WBW (writers’ group) meeting, and seemed worthy of further investigation, so I picked up a copy the next day.
An excellent resource for thinking through the practice of writing, and provides numerous writing exercises throughout to help sharpen your writing skills. I’m looking forward to re-reading this book, and actually doing the exercises.
If you want to improve your writing, this is well worth spending the time on.
Sounds interesting. I’ve used http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Elements_of_Style“ rel=”nofollow”>The Elements of Style book at work. I may have to look into this other style guide.
I remember reading Strunk and White before I started my honours year. This book is more of a book for thinking through your writing process, not so much a list of rules.
It sounds useful. I’ll have to buy myself a copy for work.
