I’ve been in a few meetings that we knew at the outset would last more than a couple of hours, which would begin with an announcement: “no mobile devices or laptops”.
For me, this was frustrating: often in such meetings, questions are raised that could easily be resolved with a quick internet search, and to have this blanket ban seemed a loss of productivity.
