Wonder Boys is a Michael Douglas film that has nothing to do with the arcade game of the same name. The moral dilemma driving the film (which was in the ‘comedy’ section of the video store) is whether to choose abortion or divorce. Of course, there’s more to the film than that, but I was again surprised at how a film can present emotive arguments that would make you choose whichever option the film-maker wants you to choose.
