I finally realised that my inability to get at the Australian Red Cross website was due to a typo: I went to the Ukranian Red Cross site by mistake, and thought it was their fault.
Anyway, I went to the Red Cross in Clarence St Sydney today, and gave my first ever blood donation (for anyone who knows how squeamish I am, this was a big step). My Haemoglobin count was 155, and my blood pressure was 140/80. I don’t really know what that means. The best part, though, was realising my boyhood dream of exchanging my blood for a hotdog!
