How’s this for a panning? Van Helsing is beautifully shot, monumental in conception, full of amazing effects, and dull as someone else’s tax return…misbegotten charade…example of everything that’s wrong with Hollywood computer generated effects movies. Sadly (for me), I still think I’d like to go see it.
