This is out of step with the overall themes of this blog, but I had to share this story. Non-database people be warned: you probably won’t find this funny.
We had a minor database problem at work today; I was asked why I had provided a lot of suburbs that were called “Croa”. I thought that sounded strange, so we checked it out: turns out that every occurrence of the word “NULL” had been taken out of the datbase – including the ones in the middle of “Cronulla”.
