Movie: No Country for Old Men
Nothing makes you feel young like responding to a “are you free tonight” request from a friend by going out to the movies, and this was no exception. I was interested in seeing this film, and also worried at the descriptions of how violent and horrible it was.
It turns out, I needn’t have worried. No Country for Old Men is certainly violent, but no more so than something like Fargo (same writers/directors) – the violence isn’t the point of the film, it’s part of the story.
A story I hadn’t heard before, well told, it ends somewhere you don’t quite expect, but I think at a good point. Worth seeing on the big screen for the crowd reactions to a couple of the events in the film.
