Caffe di Gabriel coffee, 268B Cleveland St, Surry Hills. A truly small space: just big enough for the machine, grinder, some shelves, and a sink for washing up. It’s noisy here: there’s almost constant traffic, but the available seating (two milkcrates with cushions) suggests that takeaway coffees are the more popular option.
Coffee is good: the decaf is pre-ground (no room for a decaf grinder), but somes together nicely. Worth a look, if only for the curiosity of visiting such a small place.
Best coffee ever, and just such a fun place, always guaranteed a good laugh each time you visit for a coffee, and food is anything but plain just fantastic. After introducing my friends to Nookies they are now all going there for their coffees,
Well done Nookies keep doing what you are doing.
This place kicks ass. Most interesting people, epic food and coffee and top live music in the mornings (folk busker).
I recently visited Sydney, and just by chance I found Nookie – an awesome little cafe in Cleveland St, great coffee, great conversation & great music, the people working there are so friendly – I felt like part of the family! This place is no fuss, no bull**** – just great coffee & great service, I recommend anyone visiting or living in Sydney to get themselves to this quaint & quirky cafe!!!!!!!!
