[ /karen/ ] The Wall Street Journal asks: can email survive the social era?
Though I have a lot of different accounts on a lot of different social sites, I still tend to use email as the hub for all of these accounts – it’s an email notification that tells me I have a new comment on this blog, or something on facebook that requires my attention.
Have you found that email is a tool that is more useful in the social age, not less?
Yeah, I’m pretty much the same. Everything forwards to a central email account. Even my gmail gets forwarded to my account. All email is downloaded to my machine through Thunderbird. I try to keep as much of my stuff *out* of the cloud as I can.
