Watching the new Sandra Bullock movie Murder by Numbers was just a little too much like an “alternate ending” of Miss Congeniality. Thinking it through, I don’t think it would have made a good movie, no matter how it was put together. Quite watchable combination of a forensics film (like “The Bone Collector”), and the troubled past angle was interesting, but overall, the film just didn’t do enough.
