Numero uno coffee. Hard to miss once you look down the right street, this café blends indoor and outdoor seating with a galley kitchen. Two chess players stare intently at a board, chilled macy gray music drifts acros the ill-lit indoor area, and other patrons chat happily. Eggs are poached in a hard-working microwave.
Coffee is freshly ground for each shot, which seems promising – well made, perhaps a little weak, but still in the excellent category: seems like surry hills is a good place to try random cafes!
