Movie: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest
Spoiled by Greater Union’s reserved seating, Andrew M and I arrived at the Hoyts Broadway to queue up only minutes before the film was scheduled to start, and so we were at the back of the longest queue I’ve ever seen there. This put us in the very front row of the cinema, but it’s the kind of movie that rewards such a poor seating choice.
If you enjoyed the first pirates movie, you’re sure to enjoy this one. The supporting characters are back, and have stronger screen presences; Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow is a little less sure of himself here, I preferred him in the original, but overall a great popcorn movie, if a little long.
Don’t expect a tidy ending, though, this is a movie that is determined to make you see the sequel, which won’t be released until next year.
I was a fras worried it wouldn’t be as good as the first so I will take Nan to see it and I’m sure it wont be long enough
