Book: The Last Word

Book: N.T. Wright – The Last Word: Beyond the Bible Wars to a New Understanding of the Authority of Scripture

When a Christian talks about the Authority of Scripture, they can mean a number of different things. In this short (140 page) book, Wright details something of the church history behind the concept, and in the process clarifies many misconceptions.

Written in his usual dense-but-readable style, I felt that I’d learned quite a bit, and yet, at the same time, I wonder how much of it has stuck in my mind. This seems to be a book that would be worth reading a second time when I’m not (in part) reading to postpone studying for exams.

  1. yes – i’s amazing how many theology books look really attractive at this time … that is the ones you don’t need to study for the exam this semester!!! … or can just justify because it’s kind of connected!
