Campos Coffee. 13 Elsie St, Burwood. In the lobby of the new council chambers building this place has appeared. The eponymous Jad is running the place, with offsider Keiran running the food. There’s no seating, but they have a bunch of ceramic cups above the La Marzocco coffee machine.
There’s a grinder for the standard Campos signature blend, and other for decaf. A display cabinet has sandwiches, salads and muffins – a greater breadth of quality food than you might expect from a foyer cafe.
The decaf is really good: among the best made campos decaf I’ve had. There’s some crema to be had, and the decaf latte leaves you wanting more. A worthy successor to the title of “best coffee in Burwood” from the previous holder – the ill-fated Coffee Emporium on Burwood Rd.
