Zenith café, annandale

Karmee coffee. Modern interior design: lots of straight lines, dark colours. Concrete floor with lots of wooden furniture, stainless steel kitchen, an old stove and a modern fireplace. More geared toward eat-in than takeaway: it’s not immediately obvious where to order – the cash register is tucked away next to the coffee grinder.

Coffee takes a while – they’re not used to takeaway orders, it turns out. It’s very hot, but once that settles down, it’s quite good. I think this café needs a sit down coffee order to properly gauge it: i’ll have to go back.

  1. I agree that the Zenith Cafe has great interior design. Its important for cafes, restaurants and bars to invest in good interior design. If people feel comfortable and happy there they will return and tell their friends about the venue. Interior design may seem a forbidding commitment because of the enormity of the change and the cost and trouble involved. But it should really be fun, reflect your personality and fire your creativity too. Then you will have a true feeling of ownership of the interior, so your customers will feel relaxed and at home. I have had very happy experiences with Domane – they are an excellent firm of interior designers who do very impressive interiors. I have worked with them and they are highly professional and full of ideas:
