West st café, north sydney Mokador coffee. Far from the CBD is this sandwich bar / café with a range of salad and burger options. Coffee is hot, and at first scent doesn’t seem too promising. Sure enough, when coffee isn’t core business, the flavour of the coffee suffers. The chicken wrap, though, was excellent.

Soul synergy, north sydney
Soul synergy, north sydney Schibello coffee. A combination of food court aesthetic and natural-light filled café, this salad bar turned café is an unusual one: its layout, the hip-hop music, the otherwise quiet are hard to find in a place whre foot-traffic can make or break a business. Coffee is a good temperature, and, while …
Canteen, north sydney
Canteen, north sydney Toby’s estate coffee.simple décor, painted walls and a delicious looking salad / sandwich bar. Quiet, industrious staff. Café vima, north sydney
Café vima, north sydney Vittoria coffee. The barista is teaching a new waitress the ropes in this garden-obscured café on the corner of mount st and mclaren st. Indoor and outdoor seating, and soft opera music ito drown out what traffic noise can venture beyond the garden and the courtyard. The coffee is well made; …
Café square, north sydney

More a lunch destination, they’re only just opening at nine, and my order is passed to a couple of people before the coffee is made.
