Luna park. Less than 20 minutes’ walk from work is this icon. Not a bad payoff midway through a quick break for exercise while the weather holds out. Update: it didn’t really hold out – the rain started up again on the trip back.

Ben folds and the SSO
Ben folds and the SSO Kel and I went to the opera house to see ben folds perform with the sydney symphony orchestra. While the first song was played, and the sound hadn’t quite been equalised properly, I was wondering how good the show would be – after all, I was there to see ben …
the opera house
the opera house Let’s face it, a cameraphone isn’t going to do much justice to the opera house at the best of times, let alone after dark… It’s a start, though…
back to running
This morning, very early, I had my first ever session at a running clinic. Why? I really like running, but I keep trying it, and then getting injured. I’ve been told that this is likely due to poor running technique, the price was right, and so on my day-at-college, I head over the bridge for …

almost famous
The highlight of Sunday’s coffee festival (each year it seems there are fewer participating coffee sellers, and more people, making for longer queues) was meeting the guys from the Cafe Guide Sydney: they’d even heard of my efforts to go to all the cafes that they had reviewed!
home again
Another few hundred kilometres later, and another weekend is over. Lots of happy memories, and some – at the end of the weekend – sad ones.
gone to gloucester (and forster)
About to head up to NSW central coast, to visit friends in Gloucester, and go to a family reunion (meet some more in-laws) in Forster. Thanks to the wonders of English spelling, these two towns rhyme.
