Blue stone lobby café, North Sydney

Espresso di manfredi coffee. In the lobby of the northpoint building. Efficient staff look after all the office people who trek down, and do a roaring takeaway trade too.

Coffee is a bit thin, but still a cut above most.

  1. We had lunch in this cafe on 17 June 2011, a group of five office employees from a local engineering firm. The food was pleasant enough but the service was disgraceful. The devil-may-care attitude from the waitresses and constant incorrect orders being delivered to our table made for a very aggravating experience.

For the prices we pay, I believe we should at least be able to expect a professional attitude and reasonable service.

We will not be revisiting this restaurant.

  2. Had lunch there today. Food was good, service not so good. Staff need proper training on table service. Took too long to get drinks, plates passed over the table instead of to the right. One of our table didnt get dressing on the side of her salad as asked.

  3. We had a work Friday lunch at this cafe on 22 July 2011, a group of 8 people. We previously noticed the restaurant from the street level but had never visited (and probably won’t return again).
The food was served cold which should have been hot and took what felt like an eternity to be arrive to our table and to top it off the orders were incorrect and as we had waited so long we just accepted what we were given.
I have to agree with the previous two reviews that the service was utterly disgraceful. The waitresses was vague, unhelpful and disinterested she would have been better suited to working in a supermarket than a restaurant.
After returning to the office a some of our fellow diners felt unwell after ordering the same dish the Blue Stone burger.
This place is over-priced and under whelming and we recommend dining elsewhere.
