Starfish café, nambucca heads This was a rushed visit: I’d already used up all my cafe-time, but couldn’t resist stopping in for a quick cup at the other end of town. Looks like a good spot, and the coffee was quite pleasant (piazza d’oro coffee).
Nambucca bookshop internet cafe After walking the streets of town on Saturday afternoon with no success, I resolved that Sunday morning would be a chance to sit down with a coffee. Café crema, north sydney Located underneath fitness first, overlooking the Pacific Highway, and across from Greenwood Plaza. A pleasant spot to eat in; has changed hands and had 100% staff turnover during my two years here: the new manager is friendly and polite: there’s always a welcome to be had. Takeaway breakfast is also a […]
Croydon village foods cafe A friendly, comfortable atmosphere, and expertly prepared food fast. The takeaway coffee I ordered was really hot, so it was a bit hard to judge the quality. Still the best coffee experience I’ve had in Croydon.
Espresso galleria – haberfield Espresso Galleria in Haberfield is a place to get a great cup of coffee. Roasting on-site, and a barista who’s knowledgable about the Sydney coffee scene.
Pastaroma – pasta espresso bar, greenwood plaza nth sydney Pastaroma Pasta espresso bar: Aroma coffee, award winning baristas, and an easy-going atmosphere from behind the counter; again, not my favourite cafe in north sydney – and there’s nowhere to sit – but they do a really great flattened-out toast that no-one else does.
Trio deli café – nth sydney On Walker St, North sydney is this relative newcomer: awesome lentil soup is available here in winter-time. A good place to sit peacefully for a meal.
Caffé té ria – leichhardt Caffe Diemne coffee.Another pleasant cup to be had: the day was too hot to stay for long; we moved the the gelato shop next door, but the coffee here is good, and there are a range of teas to try too.
Grind – leichhardt A cafe called Grind has a lot to live up to: this one, a few doors up from legendary Norton St institution Bar Italia provides solid cafe food, and among the better of the coffees that we’ve found in the cafe guide book. When the manager – Damien – found out about […]
anise cafe – king st newtown The new owners have – I’m reliably informed – increased the prices, but it remains a place on King St where pleasant coffee and cafe breakfasts – with a french style to them – can be had. Try the courtyard out the back: it’s a good 5 degrees cooler […]
